Keith attended elementary and middle school in Aztec, NM, and completed his high school education at Grace Baptist Academy and Bible Baptist Shepherd School in Farmington, NM.

Education and Professional Background

After high school, Keith pursued higher education at Simpson University in Redding, CA, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with minors in History and Bible/Theology. His dedication to education continued as he obtained his Teacher Certification from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. Keith furthered his academic pursuits by earning a Master’s in Business Administration and obtaining an Educational Administration license through New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM.

Keith's professional journey reflects his commitment to serving youth and communities. He spent several years teaching and coaching at Aztec High School and Farmington High School before transitioning to a role as Associate Pastor in Student Ministry at Pinon Hills Community Church. In 2016, Keith returned to the education sector, serving as Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director at Kirtland Central High School. Currently, he serves as Associate Head of School for Academics and Operations at Navajo Prep, where he has found fulfillment in working with exceptional students and staff.

Personal Life and Interests

Beyond his professional endeavors, Keith Neil treasures his family life. He has been married to his wife Stevie since 2001, and together they have two children. In his free time, Keith enjoys outdoor activities such as fly fishing, camping, and playing golf. His love for the natural beauty of New Mexico's landscape fuels his commitment to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of District 1.
